When you think of shower doors, you may not immediately think of anything more than frosted or clear glass panels that open or slide on a track. But brands like Coastal Shower Doors are changing the game with their modern, well-designed options. With the buzz about this year’s Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) still in the air, Coastal Shower Doors launched THE INSIDERS collection, which will be an ongoing series with designers aiming to turn basic shower doors into art. The first collaborator lined up is contemporary interior designer Bobby Berk, whose minimalist designs will be featured on the inside of the brand’s anodized aluminum doors. On January 10th, the new collection was unveiled at the Modenus x Design Milk Social Lounge at KBIS.

Berk says:

A desire to make everyday items beautiful is what inspired my career in design. When I saw that Coastal was creating shower

to define rooms and not just blend in, I knew this partnership would be a success. Our goal with THE INSIDERS collaboration is to inspire people to express themselves in every detail of their space.

The aim for this collection is for the shower door to go beyond functionality and for it to transform your space just as decorative tile or wallpaper would. Suddenly, it’s a focal point in the room by becoming a piece of art for the modern, design-focused consumer.
