Designed by Scottish designer Nick Ross, the Tearoom Series offers minimalist forms with gentle curves that mimic our own. With their simple silhouettes, the pieces could easily work in high-end hotels, clubs, or lounges, as well as private homes.

The two new designs invite relaxation with wider seats that up the comfort factor. The lounge chair is not only wider, it sits lower for a more relaxed feel. The sofa is able to sit multiple users comfortably.

The clean, geometric forms are paired with luxe upholstery resulting in visually enticing seating that’s enjoyable to touch.

No trip to Stockholm could be considered complete for any design lover without a visit to Fogia Market, a retail destination bordering one of the infinite waterways marbleizing Sweden’s landscape, and offering the perfect backdrop to the Swedish design company’s accessible furnishings. Prior to the Stockholm Furniture Fair, we were given a tour of the brand’s latest collection, one representing the talents of Stefan Borselius, Norm Architects, Note, TAF Studio, Main, Carina Seth Andersson and Andreas Engesvik within a most picturesque concept store.

Operating as a showroom, cafe, and workspace, the airy and repurposed warehouse wears a few visible remnants of its shipyard past, but today houses the Swedish brand’s collection of furniture, lighting and accessories in handsome fashion.

Inside, various interior tableaus decorated with Fogia’s 2019 Collection, intermingle with previous years’ designs, revealing a subtle eclecticism of color, form and texture. Presented alongside Fogia’s past catalog, the numerous pieces represent the brand’s continual commitment to

Patterns, folds, and geometric shapes are all a big part of her inspiration. When designing products, Lootah looks to interpret the Emirati culture, traditional craftsmanship, and contemporary design – and she’s just released three new product designs.

Lootah’s Mandoos collection finds inspiration in an important part of UAE culture and tradition, wooden chests that are embellished with brass nails called mandoos. Each mandoo is covered with designs and engravings, and while still displayed in many UAE homes, they no longer hold a person’s most valuable possessions as they once did.

The Mandoos collection celebrates the importance and history of the mandoo through the addition of modern design elements such as an intricate camel leather weave, embellished metallic studs, and leather straps. Each box is lined with teal colored suede, a color often found in Khous

BuzziSpace Goes Outdoors with the BuzziNordic ST900 Series

Most of the time we think of the Antwerp-based BuzziSpace as clever problem solvers for noise reduction in the office, but they’re also bringing their skills to the great outdoors with the BuzziNordic ST900 Series. Stäffan Thomasen created the series as a way to bring elegance outdoors and with their latest update, they’re releasing three new styles that will keep any outdoor environment elevated.

The BuzziNordic ST900 series is a trio of lounge pieces, including a daybed, single armchair, and a matching ottoman, made from Cumaru hardwood that’s durable enough to brave inclement weather. The vintage-inspired pieces have a Scandinavian aesthetic with the light wood finish and minimalist upholstered cushions in outdoor fabrics. While the three models are made for the outdoors, their modern and refined design could easily work inside as well.

Wanghe Studio Designs the Childhood Series for “Beijing Drifters”

Chinese designer Wang He has recently launched his Beijing-based Wanghe Studio with the hope of presenting Chinese culture in a modern, design-focused way. At the 2018 London Design Fair, his studio debuted a collection of living room furniture that was designed for the “Beijing Drifters,” a term used for young professionals who have yet to settle down. With no feelings of belonging, the Childhood Series sets out to see if it’s possible to design furniture that could create that sense for those young adults living and working in Beijing.

In order to make that happen, He created five members for his furniture family – the Marshmallow Sofa, Lollipop Side Table, Hide & Seek Sideboard, Skateboard Coatrack, and the Arch Floor Mirror. The childhood-inspired pieces aim to bring a feeling of coziness by adding character and flexible functionality for those who use it.

Blå Station Introduces the BOB Job Because the Desk Is Dead

Conventional ways of working are going by the wayside as we continue to see new ideas pop up for open offices, co-working spaces, and privacy furniture. Last year, Swedish furniture manufacturer Blå Station reimagined their Bob modular seating system to work in offices, lounges, and public spaces, all designed by Thomas Bernstrand and Stefan Borselius, with the addition of more curved modules and tech components. Now they’re taking it even further with BOB Job which proves work doesn’t mean you have to be stuck at your office desk.

BOB Job aims to be that perfect solution to outfit a casual and/or creative workspace with its modular sofa system that can be configured in an endless amount of ways. Besides the seating modules, you can add tables for drinks or your computer, shelves to house your magazines, documents, or gear, and partitions for added privacy. Plus there are outlets to
