                                I’m currently following along <a href="https://www.instagram.com/atelierdore/" data-wpel-link="external"  rel="external noopener noreferrer">Garance Dore/Atelier Dore’s</a> trip to Marrakech on Instagram and I’m so inspired by the city’s bright and bold color palette, woven textures, pottery and tiles, and shapely architecture. Since I’m not planning to go to Marrakech anytime soon, here are a few items from <a href="https://society6.com/?curator=designmilk" data-wpel-link="external"  rel="external noopener noreferrer">Society6</a> that would help me pretend like I’m there&#8230;

Saying Thanks with Society6 Thank You Cards

                                I always appreciate a thank you card when I receive one, and I’m trying to make sure I take the time to send one myself when the situation calls for it. The trouble is, I never have any on hand so I’m always running out at the last minute to get one and they’re almost always more expensive than buying in bulk. Rather than picking up cheesy cards from the grocery store, I’m looking into buying them from <a href="https://society6.com/cards?curator=designmilk" data-wpel-link="external" rel="external noopener noreferrer">Society6</a> where there are lots of options for different occasions (or no occasion at all). All these ones caught my eye for sending a quick thank you note, though I&#8217;m leaning towards that clever T.Hanks A Lot option.

Give the Gift of Art This Holiday Season with Society6

                                                I always find that once Halloween is over, Thanksgiving rushes by and before I know it, the holidays are here! I try to start looking for gifts early so that I’m not at the mercy of the leftover sale section or fretting over if something sold out is going to be back in stock in time. <a href="https://society6.com/?curator=designmilk" data-wpel-link="external" rel="external noopener noreferrer">Society6</a> believes in starting early too – they’ve already rolled out <a href="https://society6.com/go/gift-ideas?curator=designmilk" data-wpel-link="external" rel="external noopener noreferrer">gift ideas</a>! There are an assortment of guides: <a href="https://society6.com/collection/gift-ideas-under-25?curator=designmilk" data-wpel-link="external" rel="external noopener noreferrer">Under $25</a>,<a href="https://society6.com/collection/gift-ideas-under-100?curator=designmilk" data-wpel-link="external" rel="external noopener noreferrer"> Under $100</a>, <a href="https://society6.com/collection/gift-ideas-for-mom?curator=designmilk" data-wpel-link="external" rel="external noopener noreferrer">For Mom</a>, <a href="https://society6.com/collection/gift-ideas-for-dad?curator=designmilk" data-wpel-link="external" rel="external noopener noreferrer">For Dad</a>, <a href="https://society6.com/collection/girl-gang?curator=designmilk" data-wpel-link="external" rel="external noopener noreferrer">Girl Gang</a>, <a href="https://society6.com/collection/gift-ideas-for-coworkers?curator=designmilk" data-wpel-link="external" rel="external noopener noreferrer">Coworkers</a>, <a href="https://society6.com/collection/secret-santa-gift-ideas?curator=designmilk" data-wpel-link="external" rel="external noopener noreferrer">Secret Santa</a>, <a href="https://society6.com/collection/stocking-stuffers?curator=designmilk" data-wpel-link="external" rel="external noopener noreferrer">Stocking Stuffers</a> and more. While I don’t require coffee every morning to get work done, I do need a good cup of joe to conquer a particularly large mountain of work. Maybe it’s a placebo effect or maybe it’s part of the ritual but all my best, most productive work days involve a really good cup of coffee in my favorite cup. Don’t have a favorite mug? I’m all about traveling as light as possible and sometimes I don’t need a full suitcase for a quick weekend getaway. That’s why I prefer <a href="https://society6.com/duffle-bags?curator=designmilk" data-wpel-link="external" rel="external noopener noreferrer">duffle bags</a> because they’re light and malleable for fitting into small spaces, like a packed trunk or a full plane. (Have you ever boarded a plane last and slowly realized with fear that there’s no place to put your luggage? It’s annoying, isn’t it?) <a href="https://society6.com/?curator=designmilk" data-wpel-link="external" rel="external noopener noreferrer">Society6</a> just launched new <a href="https://society6.com/duffle-bags?curator=designmilk" data-wpel-link="external" rel="external noopener noreferrer">duffle bags</a> so depending on whether you’re traveling across the town or across the country, keeping a duffle bag on hand ensures that you&#8217;ll have the right bag for your travels when the time comes. Here are 10 of our favorites!

                                It’s back to school season and while multiple choices are brutal on final exams, they’re most welcomed when it comes to back to school shopping. If you’ve been out looking for <a href="https://society6.com/comforters?curator=designmilk" data-wpel-link="external" rel="external noopener noreferrer">comforters</a>, you probably already know that there’s not a lot of options in stores but luckily there’s tons of options on <a href="https://society6.com/?curator=designmilk" data-wpel-link="external" rel="external noopener noreferrer">Society6</a> (exactly 100 pages worth of options). While comforter shopping is hardly the most important issue when it comes to your education, it’s nice to know that you can plop down on a design you love after coming home from a day of back-to-back classes (or worse, night classes). Here are some of the <a href="https://society6.com/comforters?page=1&amp;sort=new?curator=designmilk" data-wpel-link="external" rel="external noopener noreferrer">newest options</a> that will separate your dorm room from the rest:

                                I’m ready for a mini vacation and thankfully, Palm Springs is just a hop, skip and jump away from where I live. I love that in Southern California, you’re only a few hours drive away from the beach, mountains, or desert. As with most places, Palm Springs holds a special place in my heart for its mid-century modern architecture, pops of bright colors, and palm trees at every turn. Here are a few of my favorite <a href="https://society6.com/s?q=palm+springs&amp;context=prints?curator=designmilk" data-wpel-link="external" rel="external noopener noreferrer">photo art prints</a> that recently joined <a href="https://society6.com/?curator=designmilk" data-wpel-link="external" rel="external noopener noreferrer">Society6</a>:

                                There’s something oddly satisfying about looking at <a href="https://society6.com/s?q=isometric&amp;context=default?curator=designmilk" data-wpel-link="external" rel="external noopener noreferrer">isometric art</a>. In an isometric design, everything is drawn to have equal dimensions. <a href="https://society6.com/?curator=designmilk" data-wpel-link="external" rel="external noopener noreferrer">Society6</a> artists have taken this principle and applied it in different ways, from architecture to typography to dizzying patterns. Seeing Shapes in Terrazzo with Society6

                                                <a href="http://design-milk.com/seeing-shapes-terrazzo-society6/society6-terrazzo/" data-wpel-link="internal"><img src="http://0.design-milk.com/images/2017/06/society6-terrazzo-810x405.jpg" alt="Seeing Shapes in Terrazzo with Society6" /></a>
                                Earlier this week I saw <a href="http://design-milk.com/fict-design-studio-reimagines-uses-for-mother-of-pearl/" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-wpel-link="internal">these images</a> and they kind of took my breath away. The chips of pearl accented by golden brass were just too pretty to ignore and made me take notice of the different shapes of the pearl because of the iridescent reflections bouncing off the surfaces. These coasters and trays aren’t made of terrazzo but could be a close cousin, in my opinion. The beauty of terrazzo is that every slab is unique because of the different shapes and materials mixed in. Inspired by this, I checked to see if any artists on <a href="https://society6.com/?curator=designmilk" data-wpel-link="external" rel="external noopener noreferrer">Society6</a> had made a print of this pattern because I could definitely see the jewel-like pattern framed in a living room or even a nursery. Sure enough, <a href="https://society6.com/?curator=designmilk" data-wpel-link="external" rel="external noopener noreferrer">Society6’s collective of artists</a> are two steps ahead of me. Here are some of my favorite prints of this fun pattern…
