New Summer Entertaining Accessories from Society6

Just when you thought there weren’t any ways left to apply original art to home accessories, Society6 proves you wrong. This week, they’ve launched coasters, serving trays and cutting boards to their catalogue, rounding out everything you’d need for summer entertaining.
The cutting boards are made of solid baltic birch wood in either a rectangular or round shape with the art printed on a smooth gloss finish side. You can use the wood side to prep food, the design side to serve food, and then hang as kitchen wall art when you’re all done. The serving trays are available in three sizes and are made with 100% eco-friendly bamboo. A versatile accessory in your home, these trays can be used to organize knick knacks, a catch-all at the entry way, a flat surface to place on top of ottomans – the list is endless. Lastly, the coasters come in

It’s almost inevitable that after you watch a space movie (Interstellar, in my case), you develop a newfound appreciation and sense of wonderment for the galaxies. It’s quite poetic how something so beautiful can make you feel so small. Inspired by space exploration, worm holes and other unexplainable phenomenon in the the galaxy and beyond, here are a few of our favorite picks from Society6:

Fresh From The Dairy: Illustrative Art Prints

Owning an original artwork (the kind that’s hand-painted and numbered) from one of my favorite illustrators is something I have yet to check off my bucket list, but until that day, I can still support them in other ways. I recently found out one of my all-time favorite artists, Marloes De Vries, also sells her work through Society6, which made me realize that many other talented artists and illustrators do as well. Here are some of my favorites:

They come in three sizes (3×3’, 4×4’ and 5×5’) with keyholes on the back for easy hanging. All you need to do is decide on your spacing preference between each square. That, and deciding which one of the thousands of art created by Society6’s artists and designers to purchase. Fresh From The Dairy: Society6 Launches Posters + Wood Wall Art

Society6’s posters are printed on 100lb smooth gloss paper which ensures that your art will be vibrant in color and sharp in details. They come in one size only (18” x 24”) which is definitely large enough to give that blank empty wall a pop of color. I’m kind of eyeing this Not Today Satan poster for my office (lol) or this Spring Monstera poster as part of a gallery wall at my entryway. The new Wood Wall Art is unique in that they are a multi-piece design, composed of nine Baltic birch squares. You can space each piece according to your own liking (how much negative space is “perfect” is a whole other discussion) and there are keyholes in the back of each

Last week we shared that Society6 launched peel + stick wallpapers. For those who love the idea of a graphic accent wall but would prefer a smaller print instead of an all-over pattern, good news: Society6 also recently launched wall murals! These murals are printed on matte, self-adhesive woven polyester fabric panels that are easy to install on your walls. If you ever need a change of scenery, they peel off easily without leaving any residue. With a wide selection designed by Society6’s collective of artists, you can choose from scenic views, minimalist line drawings or luxe marble patterns. I’m in the midst of updating my home but can I just say, the paralysis from the sheer amount of options to be made is real. There’s also an overwhelming abundance of inspiration out there that I’m finding it hard to go down the path of a specific interior design style when lots of different styles appeal to me. In other words, mo’ options, mo’ problems.
The one place that doesn’t get me stressed is Society6’s blog. The site doesn’t just promote its own products but gives a ton of really good, simple design tips that really make a difference towards creating a space you love. The stories range from home makeovers to artist features. The best part is, when you’re ready to incorporate those design tips into your own home, Society6’s price points make it easy, not paralyzing, to check out your shopping cart. If you’re thinking about freshening

One of my resolutions this year is to change my black thumb into a green one. With spring officially here (according to the calendar, not the temperature), I’ve been researching all the easiest plants to take care of because there’s so much to know! At least with these prints from Society6, I’m guaranteed that these plants will never die… here are some of my favorites that add a grounding, serene feel to any wall:

Spring is finally and officially here. You either fall in a few camps: 1) excited that winter is over and warmer temperatures are on the horizon, 2) still experiencing Winter and awaiting the day when the snowstorm passes, or 3) dreading allergy season. ;) Regardless, the turn of a new season means a fresh wardrobe + new color palettes. Here are a few things I’m eyeing to get from Society6 to invite Spring into my own home:

Art Prints from Society6 That Help Shape up a Room

Lately I’ve been seeing prints of abstract shapes in all of the interior design photos I’ve been liking on Instagram. There’s something about this modern take on shapes we’ve learned since babyhood that I find myself drawn to, especially on art prints since I find that abstract shapes are practically a neutral when it comes to interiors! Here are a few of my current favorite shape-filled prints from Society6’s collective of artists:

The weather took a dip this week and while I’m happy that SoCal is experiencing more than one season, this 60 degree weather is making me pull out all the winter clothes I just put into storage! (All East Coasters must be laughing at me right now.) I’d enjoy the weather a bit more if we had enough throw blankets to go around, so, inspired by warmer weather, here are 8 new throw blankets from Society6 that I wish were in arm’s reach right now…

Every once in a while we scroll through @NASA’s Instagram and get lost in outer space (images, that is). It takes just one photo of a galaxy cluster to make you realize that we’re just a speck in the universe, an awesome and terrifying feeling at the same time. Inspired by space itself, here are eight prints and tapestries from Society6 that conjure up that reminder when we look at them:

10 Weekender + Duffle Bags to Make Your Travels Easy

After a number of domestic and international flights last year, I have to say, packing is truly an art form, one that only improves after many iterations, trials and errors. While a hard-shell carry-on suitcase is my #1 preference, there are times when it seems like overkill to haul a suitcase around, like when you’re going away for just the weekend or an overnight’s stay. In this case, I prefer a duffle bag. It’s simple, malleable enough to fit in tight squeeze places (like those small commuter planes), and much more portable if you have to rush somewhere.
If your resolution for 2018 is to travel more, here are 10 duffle bags that will turn heads at the airport and help get you to your destination in style. Southern Field Industries Weekender, available at Need Supply
Handmade in Saitama, Japan, this unisex weekender bag is crafted by a small
