After seeing the drawing, the pair set out to take a two-dimensional drawing and turn it into a fully functioning bicycle. They began by sketching out the frame, tweaking it, and testing several scale models in different materials before choosing the frame size and shape. They made molds to cast the frame in resin and then sanded it down and assembled the bike. Then, they had to made new molds to cast the final bike in a stronger carbon fiber before reassembling the bike.

Bicycles are most often thought of as convenient modes of transportation or a method of exercise, both of which means many people have them. But not everyone lives in a place that has space to store them, which is why you often find them in apartment hallways, entryways, and hanging from ceilings. Enter the folding bicycle. While there have been a number of folding bikes on the market, not many of them look like they were designed with riding in mind. The frame is designed for a comfortable, everyday ride with added details meant to pay homage to French porteur bikes of the 30s.
Using a special chemical passivation process, Everything Elevated’s bicycle features a gold-ish, chromated color pattern, which they’ve used on some of their products, that also strengthens the

The Wheelhouse: Bringing Together Bicycles and Coffee

It was only a matter of time before coffee and bicycles converged in one, trendy LA space. “We want to take two things that are typically very intimidating – bicycles and coffee – and make them approachable and fun,” describes Chase Spenst. He and his wife, Tami Spenst, are the husband and wife team behind The Wheelhouse, a full service bicycle shop and barista-led coffee shop in Los Angeles’ Arts district.

The exposed beam and concrete are warmed up with rich leathers and vintage elements, creating a layered,
