Designed as part of her Master’s Degree final project at the Wrocław Academy of Fine Arts, the DESKter is a sit & stand workstation, by Małgorzata Wojtyczka, that gives you the best of both worlds. Standing desks have been growing in popularity in recent years with all of the news on sitting being bad for our bodies. But, standing full-time isn’t always ideal either. With DESKter, you can switch back and forth as needed for both health and comfort.
The workstation is made for adults and children for use in offices, public areas, schools, and even at home. If you’re ready to transport the desk or move it out of the way, it folds up and stores the desktops in additional slots. It’s also

While their business might be on the morbid side (funeral insurance), DELA’s goal is to take care of the ones that remain. Their human-focused approach not only falls on their insurance clients, but on their employees as well, which comes through in their brand-new headquarters in Eindhoven. Workspaces and casual seating areas were placed around the perimeter to maximize daylight and views while working. The designers incorporated greenery throughout to add a natural element that also cleans the air. The ground floor was given a double-height glass

The layers include different types of tables and seating that help break up the massive space into smaller, less overwhelming zones.
The cold concrete floors and bland office building details become the backdrop to a vivid palette of mostly primary colors, as well as touches of turquoise. A floating conference room rests atop a wooden deck with bold yellow curtains for the walls that can open and close when privacy is needed. Between constant chatter, machines humming, and general movement, companies continue to seek ways to reduce noise levels in their offices and while there are plenty of options out there, few are doing it like Belgian brand Buzzispace. They’re always taking a creative route when it comes to acoustical solutions, furniture, and lighting for the workplace and their latest release even goes a step further. They enlisted American designer Cory Grosser who decided to take an organic approach to the age-old noise problem. Instead of looking to textiles for a solution, Grosser turned to nature, more specifically, preserved reindeer moss for a primary material. BuzziMood also takes on the living wall trend but where it differs is that the moss is low-maintenance as it needs no water.
Greenery has proven to increase the happiness and well-being of workers, and BuzziMood, like its name suggests, aims to offer more relaxing environments through

With offices going more towards open floor plans that allow employees to collaborate, having pieces of furniture that allow for that is key. It also makes sense to incorporate pieces that can easily be moved around for meetings or for overall growth. Mattias Stenberg has nailed just that with two designs for Offecct that offer workers informal workspaces that can be changed up. First are the On Point powered tables which allow for meetings while also having a central spot for plants, and then the Carry On stools which provide quick additional seating when needed.
The On Point tables are designed to work in office or public spaces or even airports as a way to provide informal workspaces wherever needed. The large tabletop is enough space for up to eight people to work or give plenty of room for just a few. In the center, the On Point table is

The 6,500-square-foot space was renovated by CHA:COL, Inc., who were tasked with bringing the industrial building up to code. In order to house the young company, the firm had to design workspace for 30 animators, 6 producers with 4 private offices, 3 editing suites, 2 conference rooms, 3 bathrooms, an empty shooting space for green screen work, a kitchen, and lounge.
The layout was designed to include a central area, dubbed The Pit, that’s used for working, eating, having a meeting, or just taking a break. It was designed out of laminated plywood and features a bar-type counter, bleacher seating, and a display area. Surrounding The Pit is a loop left open for circulation to the surrounding areas. After quickly outgrowing their 26,000-square-foot office, Dollar Shave Club was in need of a new HQ to house all of their employees in Marina del Rey, California. They were able to acquire the space next door allowing them to create a much larger, 50,000-square-foot office that suited their needs. The company enlisted Rapt Studio to design CEO Michael Dubin’s dream space that focused on connection, collaboration, and comfort for employees and visitors alike.
The warehouse was gutted to make way for the open floor plan, which includes communal workspaces, “squad rooms”, a massage and relaxation room, barber shop, coffee bar with barista, showers, bike stations, and more perks to make it an enviable place to work. The new HQ brings all the employees together under one roof allowing everyone to work more efficiently and to increase creativity. Plants are placed throughout to bring a bit of outside in, although floor-to-ceiling

Brooklyn-based UHURU CONTRACT continues to expand their Minim Workplace Family with the launch of MINIM RISE SIT|STAND, a dual workstation with lots of possibilities. As with all UHURU designs, they’ve considered every last detail, from the workstation’s proportions to the materials it’s made from, to offer the utmost functionality without sacrificing good design.
The MINIM RISE SIT|STAND is outfitted with a powerful electronic lift system that’s built right into the sturdy steel base so it’s hidden away from view. It can even come with both workstations set at a fixed height, both with the SIT|STAND option, or one of each, depending on the employees’ preferences. To customize it further, you can select from five different tabletop options, three steel base finishes, and three different colors of felt for the divider. Besides the customizable look of it, there are also options to choose what kind of integrated power outlets are preferred.

The results are a variety of open work spaces, offices that house from one to eight people, informal seating areas, five kitchens, eating spaces, formal meeting rooms, and a welcoming reception and business lounge.
Since the spaces are long and narrow, they designed the layout into three sections lengthwise with pathways in between. Glass partition walls were used to allow light to penetrate the entire space. Sandwiched between some of the semi-private offices are public spaces, like kitchens and eating areas, sitting rooms, and open workspaces. The client requested that The Mixer felt like a home away from home, a pleasant place to work, yet with a
