In 2016, Danish design duo Nanna Neergaard and Marie Hesseldahl partnered up to form <a href="http://www.manerstudio.dk/" rel="nofollow noopener external noreferrer" data-wpel-link="external">Manér Studio</a> before they even graduated from Design School Kolding. For their Master’s project, the pair collaborated on a collection of lighting for Danish company, <a href="https://www.leklint.com/" rel="nofollow noopener external noreferrer" data-wpel-link="external">LE KLINT</a>, which was just released to celebrate their 75th anniversary. Referencing the brand’s traditional pleating techniques, they designed the <a href="https://www.leklint.com/en-GB/News/We-unfold-75-years-of-lighting.aspx?Action=1&PID=820" rel="nofollow noopener external noreferrer" data-wpel-link="external">ARC Collection</a> after finding inspiration within Grundtvig’s Church in Copenhagen, whose regal architecture is full of curves and arches.
Even though the inspiration came from traditional architecture dating back almost a century, the designers reinterpreted its features for modern lighting fixtures, while paying homage to the company’s past. The ARC Collection includes a pendant lamp, table lamp, wall lamp, and floor lamp, each with white shades and black stained oak components.
