French designer <a href="http://sambaron.fr/" data-wpel-link="external" rel="external noopener noreferrer">Sam Baron</a> designed a trio of bookshelves for <a href="http://www.jcp.design/" data-wpel-link="external" rel="external noopener noreferrer">JCP</a> that create optical illusions with its geometric structures and mirrored surfaces, making you wonder if your collectibles have suddenly multiplied. The <a href="http://www.jcp.design/perflect-2017/" data-wpel-link="external" rel="external noopener noreferrer">Perflect</a> cabinets, made of thin, black metal structures with steel mirror panels, were inspired by the &#8220;middle ages and renaissance gravures&#8221; and their sense of depth studies.
The asymmetrical cabinets utilize slanted mirrored panels that to bounce the reflection of whatever you choose to display. The back and sides of the shelves also offer a unique perspective you don’t normally see on your average shelf.
